“Taylor is very protective of her image and she knows that working with Kanye could go either way. If she does it, she wants it to look like she provided the olive branch and forgave him, but she is scared that he will do something stupid and in turn make her look bad. So she is treading lightly on a collaboration and at this point it is not going to happen. Wishful thinking on Kanye’s part,” a source tells EXCLUSIVELY.
Let’s not forget that Kanye once humiliated Taylor on national television by hijacking her acceptance speech during the 2009 MV Video Music Awards. Furthermore, he did the same thing to Beck during the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8.
Don’t get us wrong — a song featuring both Kanye and Taylor would be a hot seller, but it’s a risk nonetheless. Taylor seems to be making the right choice by not collaborating with Kanye.
Kanye West Says He Will Collaborate With Taylor Swift — Ryan Seacrest Interview
As previously reported, Kanye revealed the news during an interview on On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Feb. 11.
“Yeah, [Taylor] wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in,” the rapper told Ryan on Wednesday.
“You heard it here first: @kanyewest and @taylorswift13 are going into the studio together!” Ryan’s radio show then tweeted.
